I thought that this case was adjudicated on in 1888,not 1887. - (202.180.98.82 15:30, 20 September 2006 (UTC))
- You're thinking of the more famous Privy Council decision. The Supreme Court of Canada case was handed down on June 20, 1887. --PullUpYourSocks 02:57, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
User:PullUpYourSocks, this case should be listed in 2 categories - Category:Supreme Court of Canada cases & Category:Canadian Privy Council cases - (202.180.98.82 20:32, 27 September 2006 (UTC))
- This list in particular is mostly for personal reference than anything else, but if you see St. Catherines Milling v. The Queen, you'll see that it is categorized in both the SCC category as well as the JCPC list. -PullUpYourSocks 22:30, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
Canadian Privy Council cases should be listed separately
[edit]User:PullUpYourSocks, Privy Council cases from Canada should be listed separately, considering that the Dominion of Canada has a federal system. Furthermore to this,Canadian Privy Council cases should also be listed by province as well, that is if it is a Dominion - Province relations case. - (202.180.98.82 03:46, 28 September 2006 (UTC))
